During a media briefing in Colombo, CPC Chairman D.J. Rajakaruna emphasized that Sri Lanka’s fuel supply does not come from the current conflict area in the Middle East. He assured that fuel supplies to the CPC will remain uninterrupted. Rajakaruna mentioned that the upcoming fuel shipments are expected from India and Singapore. “We are making this statement responsibly. There is no need for people to wait in long lines. We were not set to distribute fuel today (01), but due to increased demand, we have called all fuel distribution staff back. Fuel issuance has now started. Even though tomorrow (02) is a Poya day, fuel supplies will continue,” he added.
