Continuous fuel distribution today and tomorrow- Petroleum Tanker Owners

The Sri Lanka Petroleum Private Tanker Owners’ Association has assured the public that there is enough fuel in stock for the next 37 days, despite the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. They have urged everyone not to panic. D.V. Shantha Silva, a member of the association's executive committee, stated that fuel distribution will continue as usual today, Sunday, even though it is a holiday. Additionally, fuel distribution will also occur tomorrow, which is Poya Day. Silva noted that while Sundays are typically holidays, the Indian Oil Corporation had arranged for regular fuel distribution due to the long weekend. Normally, fuel distribution stops on Poya days, but Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Ltd. has confirmed that fuel will be distributed tomorrow (March 2). A sufficient number of tankers will be on hand for this purpose. There is no reason for concern about fuel availability.
