A senior Iranian official, Moshen Rezaei, who is a former top commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated on Sunday that no US warships would be permitted to enter the Persian Gulf. This comment was made in a post on Telegram, shared by the state-run Fars News Agency. President Donald Trump had previously referred to the US Navy’s presence in the area as an “armada” before the attack on Iran that occurred on Saturday. Prior to these strikes, several US ships were reported to be in the Gulf, while others were positioned in the Arabian Sea. However, on Sunday, the precise locations of the US vessels in the region were unclear. Additionally, the US Central Command released videos showing US warships launching Tomahawk missiles as part of the military operations against Iran, along with fighter jets taking off from an aircraft carrier.
