LAUGFS Gas PLC, a leading supplier of LP Gas in Sri Lanka, released a statement today to clarify recent worries about a temporary shortage of its LP Gas cylinders. The company assured the public that steps have been taken to maintain a steady supply. The current issue is due to a problem with the company’s LPG import terminal in Hambantota, which has affected their usual import process for 30,000 metric tons of LPG. “We are working closely with government officials to speed up the release and the operational clearance of the terminal as soon as possible,” said the Chief Executive Officer of LAUGFS Gas PLC. Meanwhile, the company has made arrangements with international suppliers to redirect LPG shipments straight to Colombo Port to meet local demand. They have secured stocks and adjusted distribution plans to ensure that the market continues to receive supplies, and they reassured the public that all necessary steps are in place for a steady supply of LPG.
