King Charles III of Britain stated on Thursday that “the law must take its course” following the arrest of his brother, former Prince Andrew. Andrew was taken into custody on allegations of misconduct during his time as a trade envoy. In a rare statement signed personally by him, Charles expressed his deep concern over the situation involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. He emphasized that there will be a thorough and fair investigation handled by the proper authorities. Charles mentioned, “In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and cooperation.” He added, “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.” As the investigation proceeds, he noted that it would be inappropriate for him to provide further comments. He concluded by saying that his family and he will continue to fulfill their duties and serve the public.
