Eight senior police officers have been reassigned immediately, pending approval from the National Police Commission (NPC). This group includes two Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs), five Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), and one Superintendent of Police (SP). The details of the transfers are as follows: • DIG E.M.G.J. Seram has moved from the Galle Division to become the DIG responsible for the Recruitment and Training Division. • DIG H.C.A. Pushpakumara has been assigned to oversee the Galle Division. • SSP T.H.E.L. Perera has been transferred from the Gampola Division to the Colombo North Division. • SSP K.N. Gunawardena is moving from the Monaragala Division to Police Headquarters. • SSP B.A.R. Pushpakumara has left the Colombo North Division to take on the role of Director of the Special Airport Police Division. • SSP K.A. Udaya Kumara, who was previously the Director of the Walana Central Anti-Corruption Unit, has been appointed as the Officer in Charge of the Kalutara Division.
