The remaining subjects of the 2025 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) exam, which were delayed due to the country's disaster situation, will start today (12). This exam period runs from today until January 20, as announced by the Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Kumari Liyanage. The tests will take place in 2,086 centers across Sri Lanka, with 325 coordination centers and 32 regional centers set up for the process. Candidates who lost their identity documents, such as National Identity Cards, driving licenses, or passports, because of the disaster can still take the exam if they provide a temporary ID, according to the Examinations Department. The exam times from the previous schedule will stay the same in this new timetable. Commissioner General Liyanage emphasized that candidates should arrive at their examination center at least 30 minutes before the exam starts.
