A total of 7,098 curfew violators have been taken into custody and 1,702 vehicles seized by last noon, Police Spokesman Jaliya Senaratne said. “Between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon yesterday, 173 people were arrested and 24 vehicles seized from Gampaha, Colombo, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna Districts where curfew remained in force,” he said.
