Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with the Mayor of Arad, Yair Maayan, on Sunday and expressed his thoughts for those hurt in recent attacks. The Israeli Foreign Ministry reported that more than 100 individuals, including children, sustained injuries in the strikes. In a message shared on X, the Ministry stated, "The Iranian regime has devastated Arad and Dimona by intentionally targeting civilians with missiles. Over 100 people were injured, including children. This is a clear war crime. It is pure terrorism." Mayor Yair Maayan mentioned that approximately 150 families had to leave their homes in the affected neighborhood, according to Al Jazeera. Netanyahu added in his post on X, "This is a very tough evening for our future campaign. I just spoke with Mayor Yair Maayan and asked him to share, on behalf of all Israeli citizens, our prayers for the injured. I have directed my office's Director General to ensure that all needed support is provided along with all government departments." He also emphasized, "I stand with the emergency and rescue teams currently on the ground, and I urge everyone to follow the Home Front Command's instructions. We are committed to attacking our enemies on all fronts." Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett condemned the strikes, stating in a post on X, "Our hearts are with Arad and Dimona. We are praying for the injured and their families." Another former Prime Minister, Yair Lapid, expressed his concern as well, saying, "Our thoughts are with the south this evening. There is a major disaster with many wounded in Dimona and Arad. We support the security and rescue teams working now to save lives. Wishing a quick recovery to the injured. We stand with you all."
