Vajira Abeywardena, the Chairman of the United National Party (UNP), has announced that former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is recovering well after a successful surgery in a Singapore hospital. He mentioned that Wickremesinghe will stay in the hospital for a few more days for medical care. Abeywardena also thanked UNP members who are getting ready to hold religious ceremonies throughout Sri Lanka to celebrate Wickremesinghe’s birthday on March 24.
