Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya informed Parliament today, on the 17th, that three committees have been formed to address possible economic issues Sri Lanka might encounter due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. She mentioned that actions are already being taken to implement necessary strategies. While speaking in Parliament, the Prime Minister highlighted that one of the committees will focus on ensuring that essential goods and services remain available to the public and will oversee these operations. She also pointed out that another committee has been created to manage public service maintenance. Furthermore, the Prime Minister indicated that a separate committee has been established to address the country’s energy needs.
