Multi-day fishing trawler with suspected narcotics to be brought to Dikkowita Harbour

A multi-day fishing trawler suspected of carrying narcotics has been taken to Dikkowita Fisheries Harbour. The Sri Lanka Navy seized the trawler while it was in the sea south of Dondra, where it was transporting several sacks believed to contain drugs. The Navy's Offshore Patrol Squadron conducted the operation that led to the trawler's capture yesterday, on the 15th. Along with the vessel, five fishermen on board were also arrested and will be brought to Dikkowita Harbour with the trawler.
