SC reserves judgment in appeals filed by ex-ministers Mahindananda and Nalin Fernando
The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has decided to postpone its decision on the appeals made by former ministers Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Nalin Fernando. Both men were previously sentenced to prison for charges related to corruption. The court proceedings wrapped up today after a three-day session with a five-judge panel, led by Justice Preethi Padman Surasena, as reported by Ada Derana. During today's hearing, lawyers for the former ministers and those for the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) finished their oral arguments. The Supreme Court will announce its ruling on these appeals at a later date.
