LAUGFS Gas increases domestic LPG refill prices

LAUGFS Gas PLC has announced that it will raise the prices of domestic LPG cylinder refills starting from midnight today (11). The cost of a 12.5 kg domestic LPG cylinder will go up by Rs. 300, making the new price in the Colombo District Rs. 4,630, up from Rs. 4,330. Additionally, the price for a 5 kg LPG cylinder will increase by Rs. 120, bringing its new price to Rs. 1,862, which is higher than the previous price of Rs. 1,742. The company explained that this price change is due to ongoing global conflicts and geopolitical issues that are affecting energy markets. These factors have caused supply chain difficulties, higher global LPG prices, and reduced market availability.
