The White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, announced on Wednesday that the United States will soon have “complete and total dominance” over Iranian airspace within a few hours. She stated, “We expect to achieve complete and total dominance over Iranian airspace shortly, allowing our brave warriors to continue their noble and long-awaited goals,” during a press briefing. Her remarks come as Iran has persisted in launching retaliatory attacks on its neighbors in the Middle East, following US and Israeli strikes that initiated the conflict this past weekend. US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Dan Caine earlier informed reporters that “Iran's theater ballistic missile launches have dropped by 86% since the first day of fighting, with a 23% reduction just in the last 24 hours.” Additionally, Leavitt has reaffirmed the four main goals of the US military actions against Iran, emphasizing clear communication amid confusion among allies regarding the recent military campaign. According to Leavitt, the administration aims to: eliminate Iran’s ballistic missile program, “annihilate” Iran’s naval forces in the region, dismantle Iran’s terrorist proxies responsible for attacks on US coalition forces, which have contributed to instability in the area, and prevent Iran from advancing its nuclear weapon efforts. Leavitt's statements come as the administration has faced challenges in clearly defining its objectives after the initial strikes early on Saturday morning. “It’s safe to say that so far, Operation Epic Fury has been a significant success,” she told reporters on Wednesday.
