Kuwait says several US warplanes have crashed in the country today
Kuwait's Ministry of Defense announced today that multiple US military aircraft crashed in the country, but all crew members are safe. This update follows the release of videos by CNN showing a fighter jet going down in Kuwait, with a pilot parachuting to safety. The incident involved a US fighter jet crashing during an Iranian missile strike on an American air base. Footage captured a US F-15E Strike Eagle descending in a spiral, its engine ablaze, approximately six miles from the US Ali Al Salem base. The pilot successfully ejected and landed safely, receiving help from nearby residents. However, the condition of the weapons system operator is still unclear. It remains uncertain whether the jet was downed by an Iranian missile, struck by US air defense rockets, or if it experienced a technical failure. This incident follows the confirmation of the first US military casualties in the ongoing conflict, with three soldiers reported dead and five others injured since operations began on Saturday morning. Former President Donald Trump promised to seek justice for the fallen, cautioning that more casualties could occur before the US-Israel military action concludes. The conflict escalated further on Monday when Israel launched attacks on Lebanon in retaliation for Hezbollah's strikes after the death of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei.
