Three individuals, including a married couple, were arrested for having narcotic pills worth Rs. 3 million, according to the Panadura South Police Headquarters. The suspects, aged 37, 20, and 19, live in Panadura and Egoda Uyana. Police acted on a tip and raided the Udahamulla area of Panadura, leading to the arrest of the suspects along with 20,000 narcotic pills. Initial investigations indicate that the married couple was allegedly running a narcotic pill distribution business from a house they rented for Rs. 23,000 a month. The suspects will be presented in the Panadura Magistrate’s Court.
