The Department of Immigration and Emigration in Sri Lanka has fully fixed its computer system. As a result, passport services at the main office in Battaramulla and all regional offices are back to normal. Mahesh Karunadasa, the Deputy Controller and Media Spokesperson for the department, announced that operations, which were on hold since yesterday due to a technical problem, have resumed. He confirmed that regular and one-day passport services, as well as visa applications, are being handled as usual. Additionally, urgent and important requests are being processed at all regional branches.
