President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will travel to Nuwara Eliya today (11) to launch the Central Province part of the “A Nation United” national campaign. According to the President’s Media Division, he will participate in several activities during his visit. The “A Nation United” campaign aims to eliminate the problem of illegal drugs in Sri Lanka. This issue is a significant concern for the communities in the up-country region. The program's goal is to protect the community from this threat by raising awareness and involving all stakeholders, while also helping them improve socially and economically, the PMD noted. The event in Nuwara Eliya will also honor 62 police officers who have actively participated in drug-related raids.
