Toronto police have arrested a 45-year-old influencer from Sri Lanka, charging him with four counts of criminal harassment for filming women without their consent. Authorities say he repeatedly targeted strangers in public areas throughout Toronto, making them feel uncomfortable. He was taken into custody on December 10, 2025, and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice on February 4, 2026. The police reported four separate harassment incidents. On June 8, 2025, a woman noticed a man filming her while she was at an event near Dundas Street West and Dufferin Street. When she asked him to stop, he became aggressive, continued to harass her, and ignored security's requests to leave. He left before the police arrived, and no injuries were reported. On August 21, 2025, at around 2:45 pm, the same man allegedly filmed a TTC employee at Union Station without permission and made inappropriate comments regarding their ethnicity. A third incident occurred on September 27, 2025, around 3 pm at David Pecaut Square, where he reportedly filmed a person in line and did not stop when asked, becoming confrontational. In another case on May 26, 2025, he approached a female officer at Yonge Street and Shuter Street, filming her and making comments about her looks. Toronto police have released his image and believe there may be additional victims. They are encouraging anyone with information to reach out to the Toronto Police Service or to send anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
