Fishermen in Sri Lanka are continuing their Satyagraha campaign for the fifth day today, February 9. They are asking for the ban on using tractor-mounted winches for Madel (seine nets) fishing to be lifted. The protest started on February 5 in front of the Presidential Secretariat. Fishermen from several coastal regions, including Mullaitivu and Kokilai, are taking part in this demonstration.
