A Police Inspector and a Police Constable have been taken into custody for their involvement in the case of a missing firearm from the Matugama Police Station, according to police reports. The stolen items consisted of a pistol and a magazine with 10 live ammunition rounds, which were listed in the inventory of the Matugama Police Station, as stated by the police.
