Special traffic plan implemented for 78th Independence Day celebration and rehearsals

The Sri Lanka Police have announced a special traffic plan for Colombo starting today, the 30th, to manage rehearsals and events for the 78th National Independence Day celebrations. Rehearsals will take place today, tomorrow, and on February 2. During these rehearsals, traffic will be limited around Independence Square from 7:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On February 1, traffic restrictions will begin at 5:00 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m. Additionally, from 5:00 a.m. on February 4 until the Independence Day ceremony ends, traffic will also be controlled. This plan aims to manage vehicle movement in Colombo and encourages drivers to take alternative routes.
