A group of parents with Grade 6 children held a protest today (16) outside the Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka. They are calling for the quick implementation of proposed reforms for Grade 6 education. Many school children joined their parents at the protest, according to a report from Ada Derana. The protesters stressed the need for the authorities to act on implementing the new teaching plan for all subjects, except for the disputed English module.
