In his detailed letter, Stalin highlighted a serious and sensitive issue affecting the Tamil community in Sri Lanka. He pointed out that Tamil Nadu has a long history of advocating for the rights and aspirations of Sri Lankan Tamils due to deep historical, cultural, and emotional connections. As Chief Minister, he feels it is his responsibility to share the significant worries expressed by respected Tamil leaders in both India and Sri Lanka about the proposed new constitution in Sri Lanka. Stalin mentioned that he has received many warnings indicating that the ongoing reforms could have serious negative effects on the Tamil community. He urged Prime Minister Modi to engage directly with Sri Lankan officials at the highest diplomatic levels to ensure a genuine constitutional process that addresses Tamil concerns effectively. Showing confidence in PM Modi's leadership, Stalin expressed his belief that India will take action to protect the rights of Sri Lankan Tamils and help find a fair, lasting solution to their issues.
