The 2025 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) exams, which were delayed due to the country's emergency situation, will resume tomorrow, January 12. The exams will run until January 20, as announced by Indika Kumari Liyanage, the Commissioner General of Examinations. There will be 2,086 exam centers across Sri Lanka, along with 325 coordination centers and 32 regional centers set up for the tests. Candidates who lost their identity documents like National Identity Cards, driving licenses, or passports due to the disaster can still take the exam if they show a temporary identification document, according to the Examinations Department. The exam times will stay the same as in the previous schedule. Candidates must arrive at their exam centers at least 30 minutes before the exams start, added Commissioner General Liyanage.
