Vijitha Herath, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka, will make an official visit to Romania from March 1 to 3, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During this trip, Minister Herath will engage in important talks with Romania's Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity, and the Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship & Tourism. The discussions will address shared interests aimed at strengthening the long-standing relationship between the two nations. The focus will be on improving organized labour mobility, enhancing cooperation between institutions, and promoting safe, orderly, and regular migration. Additionally, the two Ministers are expected to sign a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding on Labour Cooperation. This agreement will create a formal structure for better collaboration in labour and employment, ensuring that the partnership is transparent, regulated, and beneficial for both sides, according to the Foreign Ministry.
