Despite a slight decrease in the number of COVID-19 infections and fatalities, the Health Ministry said the situation is not yet favourable to embrace normalcy. Addressing the media, Deputy Director General of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath said that things could always go from bad to worse. “It is true that we do notice a small decrease in the number of daily cases and deaths. However, we cannot guarantee that it would continue with the same momentum,” he said.
