Three arrested in separate raids over possession of fuel without permits

Sri Lanka Police have taken three people into custody in different cases related to having fuel without the required permits. The arrests happened last evening (20) in the police areas of Hanwella, Kalutara North, and Kotahena. In Hanwella, a 31-year-old man was arrested in the Amulgama area after police received a tip-off. He was found with 645 litres of diesel without a proper license. In Kalutara North, a 32-year-old man was caught in Bosiripura for illegally possessing and selling 35 litres and 500 millilitres of petrol. Additionally, in Kotahena, a 25-year-old man was arrested in the Bloumendhal area while transporting 2,000 litres (10 barrels) of diesel in a lorry, also without a license. The police stations involved are continuing their investigations into these cases.
