Macron calls for halt to strikes on civilian infrastructure

French President Emmanuel Macron has called for an immediate stop to strikes that hit civilian infrastructure. This statement comes after attacks on gas production sites in Iran and Qatar. In a post on X, Macron mentioned that he had discussions with Donald Trump and the Emir of Qatar. He emphasized that it is in their "common interest" to cease these attacks "without delay," especially those targeting energy and water supply facilities. He stated, "Civilian populations and their essential needs, as well as the security of energy supplies, must be protected from military escalation."
