The UN children's agency, UNICEF, reports that the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran is causing a dire situation for millions of children in the Middle East. Since February 28, over 1,100 children have been injured or killed due to the violence. This figure includes 200 children who have died in Iran, 91 in Lebanon, four in Israel, and one in Kuwait. UNICEF cautioned that these numbers may rise as the fighting escalates. Many children have missed school because of the crisis, and hundreds of thousands have been forced to leave their homes due to relentless attacks. UNICEF emphasized that there is no justification for harming children or disrupting vital services they need. The agency highlighted that all 200 million children in the region are relying on the global community to take urgent action.
