The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has declared a 16-hour water cut for the Negombo and Katana regions on March 12. This interruption will last from 8:00 a.m. until midnight, as necessary maintenance is scheduled at the Bambukuliya Water Treatment Plant. The affected areas include: - All locations within the Negombo Municipal Council - Areas managed by the Katana Pradeshiya Sabha and the following Grama Niladhari divisions: Etiyawala, Jankurawela, Kaluwarippuwa, Miriswatta, Kongodamulla, Halpe, Andimulla, Ambalayaya, Thoppuwa, and Waikkal. The NWSDB apologized for the trouble this may cause and urged residents to conserve water during the outage.
