Four Sri Lankans have been injured in the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, according to Arun Hemachandra, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. He mentioned that all four individuals have received medical care and have now been released from the hospitals. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the current government is prioritizing the safety of Sri Lankans living in the Middle East and is actively monitoring the situation through diplomatic channels. Meanwhile, the military tensions involving Iran, Israel, and the United States continue in the region. Although the Iranian President has claimed that Iran will refrain from further attacks on neighboring countries and has expressed regret for past actions, reports from foreign media indicate that Iranian forces are still conducting attacks on several Middle Eastern nations, including Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, foreign news sources reported that a Pakistani driver was killed when debris from a drone, which had been intercepted by an air defense system in Dubai, fell to the ground.
