Showers expected in several areas today

Today, showers or thundershowers are expected in some areas of the Southern Province, as well as in the Rathnapura and Kaluthara districts, according to the Department of Meteorology. These rain events are likely to occur during the evening or night. The rest of Sri Lanka will mostly experience dry weather. Additionally, misty conditions may be seen in parts of the Northern, North-Central, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, and North-Western provinces in the early morning hours.
