Israel says it has begun a new wave of strikes on Tehran

This incident follows an announcement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), stating that its air force has launched "broad scale strikes" on targets linked to the Iranian regime in the city. The IDF confirmed on Wednesday morning that these strikes are part of the tenth wave of attacks since the recent conflict began on Saturday. Earlier that day, the IDF mentioned that its overnight strikes focused on command centers used by Iran's internal security forces and the Basij militia. A resident from northern Tehran told CNN, "They hit quite hard last night; it was a bad night. I’m not sure where they struck, but we could hear explosions around us." The resident expressed a desire to leave the city and escape to the mountains but noted the difficulty in identifying safe areas due to the presence of military assets. Iranian state media reported explosions in various locations across the country on Wednesday morning, with a photo geolocated by CNN showing a large cloud of dark smoke near Isfahan.
