Two explosions occurred in Iran, with the government denying that a military leader was attacked, as regional tensions rise. The first explosion took place at the southern port of Bandar Abbas on Saturday, according to local media. Tragically, a four-year-old girl lost her life, and 14 others were hurt. The second blast happened in Ahvaz, located over 1,000 kilometers away, resulting in four fatalities, according to local officials. Israel has denied any connection to both incidents. Reports on social media suggesting that a navy commander from the Revolutionary Guard was the target of the Bandar Abbas explosion were labeled “completely false” by the semi-official Tasnim news agency. The explosion damaged an eight-story building, affecting the first to third floors seriously, as reported by Fars news agency. Persian Gulf Radio also noted that several vehicles and a shop were harmed. Rescue and firefighting teams are currently at the location, but the cause of the explosion remains unknown.
