Four people were arrested by the Maha Oya Police for attacking police officers during a drug raid. The police reported that a group of officers from the Maha Oya Police Station conducted a raid last night (31) in the Galwalayaya area. During this operation, the suspects reportedly assaulted the officers. A police sergeant suffered injuries and has been taken to the Maha Oya Hospital for care. The authorities have also seized a club that was allegedly used in the attack. The suspects are set to appear in the Dehiattakandiya Magistrate’s Court.
