Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on industries and startups in India to prioritize quality during his monthly address, 'Mann ki Baat', on Sunday. He emphasized that Indian products should be known for their high quality and encouraged manufacturers to aim for zero defects. “We must commit to enhancing the quality of everything we produce, whether it’s textiles, technology, electronics, or packaging. An Indian product should represent ‘top quality’,” Modi stated in his 130th Mann ki Baat session. He also praised the young people who have actively contributed to India's startup scene, which began a decade ago in 2016. “India is now the third-largest startup ecosystem globally. These startups are innovative and exploring areas that were unimaginable just ten years back,” he added. The prime minister highlighted that Indian startups are engaged in various fields, including AI, space, nuclear energy, semiconductors, mobility, green hydrogen, and biotechnology. “You can name any sector, and there will be at least one Indian startup working in it. I commend all the young individuals involved with a startup or those aspiring to start their own,” he remarked. Additionally, Modi wished the country well on National Voters Day and Republic Day.
