Janani Imathma has been named the winner of "Derana Dream Star Season 12." The Grand Finale took place at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on Saturday night, October 17. This much-anticipated event began at 7:30 p.m. and saw a large crowd of fans and celebrities enjoying the celebrations and impressive performances. The final three contestants, Anupama Gunathilake, Janani Imathma, and Brian Hanks, competed for the grand prize in this last round of the reality show. After their final singing acts, Janani Imathma emerged as the champion, while Anupama Gunathilake secured the first runner-up position and Brian Hanks came in as the second runner-up, based on viewer votes. Derana Dream Star is one of the longest-running and most beloved reality shows in Sri Lanka, first launched in 2008 by TV Derana. In the earlier seasons, from Season One to Season Nine, winners were chosen through SMS votes and the show was not aired live. Starting with Season Ten, the show has been produced as a live event, and winners are now determined by votes cast online.
