A Turkish Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing at Barcelona’s El Prat Airport on Thursday after a passenger set up an in-flight wireless network with a name that included a bomb threat, according to an airline representative. The flight, which was coming from Istanbul, was nearing Barcelona when the issue was discovered. Yahya Üstün, the airline spokesperson, explained that a passenger created an internet access point and used a name related to a bomb threat. Consequently, the aircraft was diverted for an emergency landing. Spain’s Civil Guard is looking into the matter, and the airport is operating as usual.
