Wimal Weerawansa, a former minister, has chosen to end his ongoing 'Satyagraha' protest outside the Education Ministry. This decision came after the government announced that the Grade 6 education reforms would be delayed until next year. The protest, which included civil society members and others, aimed to push for the cancellation of the new education reforms and demanded that Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya resign as Education Minister.
