10 Tamil Nadu fishermen arrested for poaching in Sri Lankan waters

This morning (13), the Sri Lanka Navy detained 10 fishermen from Tamil Nadu for illegal fishing in Sri Lankan waters. The fishermen were found on a boat near Delft Island, which was also seized. They face charges for fishing within Sri Lanka's maritime limits and were taken to the Karainagar Naval Camp. The fishermen and their vessel will be handed over to the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and they will appear in court afterward.
