68% of Badulla District identified as landslide-risk areas- NBRO

The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) reported that around 68% of the land in Badulla District is at risk of landslides. Geologist Harshani Perera from Badulla stated that there were 368 significant landslides in the district during the recent bad weather. She also mentioned that about 650 homes are in areas considered to be at high risk due to these landslides.
