LNP – More changes in top police positions: 11 transferred

Eleven more senior Police officers have been handed new appointments and transfers based on service requirement, police said.

The transfers were made by the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security, following the approval of the National Police Commission.

Accordingly, DIG in charge of Legal Division KVDAJ Karawita has been appointed the Acting DIG of the Crime Range in addition to the current post while acting DIG JPD Jayasingha who was transferred from the Supplies Division to the Ratnapura Range recently has been transferred and appointed as the DIG of the Police Narcotics Bureau.

Also, , DIG in charge of Police Narcotics Bureau Priyantha Liyanage has been appointed as the DIG – Ratnapura Range.

In addition, five Senior Superintendents of Police, a Superintendent of Police and two Assistant Superintendents of Police have also been transferred based on service requirement.
