LNP – 50,000 more doses of Sputnik V vaccines arrive

A stock of 50,000 Russian made Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccines were brought to the country this morning, the airport Duty Manager said.

The vaccines were flown in by Emirates airlines from Dubai.

The consignment was later stored in the Import Sector freezer facility at the Katunayake Airport Cargo Village.

The vaccine vials were then transported by State Pharmaceuticals Corporation’s (SPC) dedicated freezer trucks to the Corporation’s Central Warehousing Complex in Colombo
