Jacqueline Fernandez, currently seen in the hit Murder 2, aims to do for Sri Lanka what another ex-pageant winner, Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, has done in India, reports the Hindustan Times.
Fernandez has helped to launch a modeling school in Sri Lanka with Image Bay, an event and management company there. She was inspired by Sen s I Am She project, a platform to train Indian pageant contestants for the Miss Universe pageant.
Fernandez was crowned Miss Sri Lanka Universe in 2006 and represented the country in the Miss Universe pageant. I have always wanted to help bolster Sri Lanka s glamour industry. And since I have the experience of participating in a Miss Universe pageant, I hope to be able to counsel other girls correctly because I was an absolute greenhorn, she told the Times. Up next for Fernandez is an appearance in Raaz 3.
