    Dera Mr. Kiwi,

This gentleman Mr. Balasuriya, who has an illustrious school record as a College Prefect and a Queen`s Scout, equipped with a Master`s Degree, decided to join Sri Lanka Police in late 1970s. I can only symapathize with him for the bad decision. The politicos are making a poster removing organization out of Police Force and poor Mr. Balasuriya is hanging on to his pension and heading that organization. If he doesn`t we are not there to help him. Isn`t it the plight of all educated Sri Lankan public servants? Some of us should feel very lucky to be able to be somewhat independent in our professional dealings.

    Yes!

Only MR and family and sometimes Dr.Silva.

What you say about Mr.Balasuriya may be true, but when he makes this type of `empty` warning when it`s all there for any donkey in the country to see as to how state sponsored thugs rule the roost with the police simply turning a blind eye, what does this purpoted educated respectable dignified Mr.Balasuriya think the people would think of him?????

Whatever the qualifications this IGP has...he`s nothing but a spineless puppet!

If the politicos are not allowing him to carry out his duty...as a gentleman he should step down rather than be a doormat!

    Kiwi,

There is no defending him, only looking at a pathetic example of what has become of a person who had otherwise been a very useful citizen of the world.

    DONP

If the IGP had an iota of self respect he wouldn`t blurt out nonsence and also if he was unable to do his job according to the laws of the land he would have resigned and gone home.
