Are you getting it at A$1.30 per gallon?

If so its costing only around SL Rs. 27 per litre.

If the price you gave was in Us$ the cost is only SL Rs 35 per litre.

    Is Ravi. K correct then?

Yes, Ravi K is correct here.

The real cost of the petrol is Rs. 45.

The rest is govt. taxes and profit margin.

    Ravi K

Sri Lankan Leaders are there to fool the people. So what wrong in that?. Even when you were in power poor people in this country had to pay for the patrol your wife and children used. Now we have to pay for the petrol used by all the wives and children of ministers and deputies. So how can the govt. sell petrol at the correct price?

your calculation on petrol prices remind me of politicians. Don`t have clue but think of them self as experts on every issue. Do you get your petrol from the service station while it`s open or or after closing time.
