Optician nabbed for filming women secretly

TELWATTA: Ambalangoda police arrested an optician for allegedly taking nude pictures of women secretly when they went to check their eyes to his eye clinic situated in the upstairs of the Ambalangoda Bus stand.
The optician was produced before Balapitiya Magistrate W. J. Perera who remanded him till April 24.
On several complaints received to the police about the peculiar type checkings in this clinic, the police has engaged a woman police constable as a decoy. When the suspected optician began to test her in an unusual manner the police took him into custody along with all equipment.
It was revealed that when women went there for eye checking and spectacles, the optician was giving necessary instructions and ordered them to keep on standing in the room where high powered flash bulbs fitted on to the ground near a box when checking eye sights on spectacles in front of a low hanged mirror the customers were advised to move in various postures.
In the meantime the high powered video camera placed inside the box with a computer were in operation taking women`s pictures below the waist. Police are further investigating.

looks like the story is a bit misleading at best. Daily news !
the issue might be that the optician placed cameras in a strategic position on the ground to capture knickers or the lack of it from below.
now this might have been misinterpreted as Nude pictures by the paper. my .5 cent! |

All doctors are not that bad. You can see one or two rotten apples in an apple cart. That is how life shapes up. Better be aware of everything in life. So good to go out with hubby. |
