S.B. sues Asian Tribune

Lawyers representing S.B. Dissanayake, now serving a prison sentence for contempt of Court, have sent a letter of demand to the Asian Tribune claiming Rs. 300 million for publishing a report said to have been made by Mr. Dissanayake about Ranil Wickremesinghe and the upcoming Presidential election.
Mr. Dissanayake claimed through his lawyers, Samararatne Associates, that the report on the Asian Tribune Website was incorrect and malicious, caused damage to his reputation and pain of mind.

Servant(who is dead preventing

Our Prison System has proved best in the world in rehabilitation of inmates.
Listen! patiently truth is coming out from his mouth for the first time.
I would request Asian Tribune to pay what ever he asked for as an encouragement of rehabilitation. |

I didn't see the article, what did he tell about Ranil? It can't be anything bad.
However, if CBK departs from politics (highly unlikely though) there will be no part for SB to play in the UNP politics. His only job was to criticize CBK while sitting by the side of Ranil. He didn't prove to be the so called vote machine, which earned him the post of national organizer , in the last election. So why waste energy on releasing him. Ranil is smart to have keep him in the prison.
(I think I'm kind of beginning to like Ranil, should I see a doctor?) |
